Happy

Whenever I wear this dress it makes me so happy! The colors are awesome and the large flowers cover a lot of lumps and bumps :) My insomnia had me up at 2 a.m. and I knew today would be a grumpy day, so I had no choice but to put on the happy dress.

Tonight I will be seeing a personal trainer. I'm going to the Jersey Shore in August, and my mission is for this to be the first year that I do not have a break down in the fitting room while trying on swimsuits. Wish me luck :)

It's All A Blur

Has this week been a blur or is it just me? It's already Thursday! I've been so busy this week the days have just run together. I didn't even get a chance to take a pic yesterday, I had a breakfast meeting and had to be at the venue at 7:15 and then I worked until 6:30. Luckily, I'm off tomorrow (OK after my 9 a.m. meeting I'm off) and will be able to spend the day with my husband and sis-in-law who's visiting from Seattle. Shopping is definitely on the agenda :0) I have City Cash to use and I am still in search of the perfect pair of brown pumps!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Today is my hubby's birthday and he's now considered...OLD! I won't say how old he is, he's just old! Poor thing, arthritis and memory loss are going to start setting in soon :0) We just got home from a lovely dinner at our local Japanese steakhouse. It was really yummy!

Hip Hip Hooray, it's Getting Cold!

I'm so excited that it's cold enough to wear boots! It won't last very long (it's supposed to be back up to 80 on Sunday) but, it was cold and rainy today so, I took full advantage. The heel on the boots really wasn't what I was looking for, too short, but I fell in love with the detail on the side!

Nice (Almost) Fall Day

I'm loving that it's getting cooler out. I'm so over summer and the heat!

What I'm looking forward to the most this fall/winter is having no AC running at work. There are eight women-including myself- that work in my office (no men, so lots of hormones floating around). Five of them have gone through or are in the middle of the dreaded menopause! At least in the winter it's appropriate to dress like an Eskimo.

Giving it Another Shot

This dress was purchased earlier this summer and it really hasn't been one of my favorites. The fabric is not very forgiving, God forbid you should have any cellulite or rolls, the dress shows it all! I decided to give it one more go before I make my final decision to donate it to our local Thrift Store.

Welcome to My World!

First off, please excuse my background. My husband snapped this picture quickly (in the kitchen) before I headed out the door to work!

I am on an extremely tight budget. My husband and I have two toddlers, Alexa, 2 and Nathan, 3, so we really don't have much wiggle room when it comes to our budget. The idea we came up with is we each get a $300 "allowance" each month. We can do what we want with it, with no questions asked. No one needs to guess where a majority of my allowance goes!
