Today is my hubby's birthday and he's now considered...OLD! I won't say how old he is, he's just old! Poor thing, arthritis and memory loss are going to start setting in soon :0) We just got home from a lovely dinner at our local Japanese steakhouse. It was really yummy!Since I didn't take my pic until about 9 p.m., no full body (I look a horrible mess). I'm sleepy and I definitely look it. Eeeek! Anywho, here's what I wore today:Black Tuxedo Jacket: Isaac Mizrahi - $15Turquoise Tank: Geoffrey Beene - $14Black 3/4 Sleeve Top: Merona - $7Black Cuffed Pants: New York & Company - $35Turquoise Shoes: Gianni Bini - $15Estimated Cost: $86
Today was not a good day! From getting up in the middle of the night a few times with my daughter who has a cold, issues with my health insurance company, car trouble and realizing that its time to let my favorite pair of leopard pumps go, today could have been much better.
On the up side, I got home and my hubby has bought me a dozen roses! I feel much better and I know tomorrow will be a better day.

Both these pants and tuxedo jacket were in the thrift store pile a few times. I got the jacket about four years ago before I was really into fashion and I couldn't figure out to do with it. The pants have been through every weight gain and loss that I've had over the past couple of years and they are still a little baggy. Now, I love them both and I am so glad I rescued them!

A few months ago I was in search for the perfect plain fitted black dress. I searched ever store imaginable and everything I found didn't fit as I wanted, cost way too much or was just ugly.
A couple of weeks ago, I took a third and final trip to the thrift store. I guess the third time really is a charm. I was almost finished looking through the black dress section and I was losing hope quickly. I thought I was going to die when I saw this dress! It was exactly what I was looking for. I was going to buy it regardless of what the size was because the tag that was still attached said it belonged in a two piece set (I guess the blazer was floating around the store somewhere) and the Suggested Retail was $320. What? With it being 1/2 price Monday at the thrift store that meant the dress would be $5! The icing on the cake was it was my size and fit like a glove! Now, who in the heck would pass up that deal?
Dress: Atelier (Thrifted) - $5
Wrinkle Resistant Striped Shirt: LL Bean (Thrifted) - $4
